Today 6 million households in 50 countries use our Sun King solar lights for light life and study each night and we're adding 5,000 new households each day. Our products are sold through our in-house network of 1,000+ village direct sales agents and distribution partnerships with leading retail, consumer finance and development organizations– including One Acre Fund, Total, SKS and 20 MFIs in 40 countries in Asia and Africa.


Job Description
The role will be to work with senior members from the Global Partnerships team with a database of potential partners in India or other Asia countries that comprise existing, dormant and new business partners. It will require to get involved in all aspects of end-to- end business development process including research to build the database further, warm calling to prospects, reaching out through LinkedIn, follow up through mails & calls and assisting in closing partnerships through facilitating the contract closures.

Responsibilities
  • Build a database of potential partners by researching about companies in relevant industries and geographies
  • Finding new prospects and making warm calls to introduce Greenlight Planet and Sun King products
  • Follow up with new prospects through call and e-mails to capture the progress status
  • Set up meetings with prospects for Business Development Managers in India or other Asia countries
  • Make skype, telephone calls to existing active prospects to maintain the engagement
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of calls made and results achieved in an excel spreadsheet
  • Use company script guidelines appropriately and follow detailed briefs to conduct calls and mailing
  • Conduct mass mailing to database for invitation to conferences, events & workshops and follow up with them to increase visibility
  • Coordinate internally to manage participation of Greenlight in several conferences
  • Continuously updating and managing the industry wide prospects database with provided indicators
  • Assist managers in facilitation of contract closures
Requirements

  • Excellent command on English (speaking and writing) as the position requires communication with companies in India or other Asia countries
  • Practical experience in MS Excel, Google Spreadsheets and LinkedIn
  • Confident, Self-driven with go-getter approach as the position requires follow up with CXO level people
  • Adaptive and learning nature, as the position requires keeping updated with changes in various industries
  • Available to work for atleast 6 hours on working days from our Mumbai or Delhi office
